Minor site changes

I thought that having Google scribe (the auto-complete thingy that pops up in the text boxes) would have been a good thing, but lately, it’s been proving to me more of a nussiance. I took it off for both yours and my convenience.

Spring Break 2011 Status Blitz

I’ve been working tirelessly over the past few days to be all caught up by the time school resumes. I do have to say, I do enjoy the more lax pace in my work, but I’m starting to get tired of the isolation that I’ve put myself through to accomplish such goals. This might come […]

Yet Another Site Update

Okay everybody. I put up a new theme because personally, I was getting tired of the old one. I’ve always been a fan of the clean, but simple look and this seemed to fit that category just well. You can also get to all my other social connections a lot easier with this wordpress theme. […]

New Plugins For WordPress

So I added a couple of new plugins to make this site a little more user-friendly.
There is now Google Scribe, which allows you to auto-complete your writing.
There is also a working flickr plugin to allow my photstream to show up in the blog.

favicons & html

Yesterday I was looking at my default image icon for my twitter & flickr accounts and decided I had to do something about it. So, using the flickr I searched for some creative commons images. I ended up liking this image: by Leo Reynolds. Uploading it to Twitter and such was easy enough, and I […]

Point Me in the Right Direction, Folks.

Finally found a pretty sweet Flickr Plugins thanks to someone in class tonight (unfortunately I don’t remember who recommended this one). It put your pictures in the side nicely. I put the setting on 6 pictures with the size set as “square”. Looks pretty snazzy if I say so myself. I need more Plugins to […]

Sitebuild

Overall, purchasing a domain name and web space was a simple process. Of course this was with the help of the tutorial, and without it I probably would have been lost. Pointing my domain name to my web host was also rather painless. Next I installed WordPress which went well, but now I am not […]

Struggles Along The Way

So building my site took some serious time and thought but I think I finally understand what I am suppose to be doing.  The biggest struggle I had while making my webpage was how to redirect my blog.  I had a site but had no clue where to blog, how to redirect my blog, how to change my theme, and […]

Success v Failure

So, I hope this doesn’t have to be formal, because, it won’t be… so far, it’s been fairly easy trying to setup this blog and finding where to post stuff and it’s easy to see everyone’s comments (just click the link on the left that says comments haha)… but it seems kind of hard to &hellip Continue reading »

Set up!

So, our first blog post is supposed to be about setting up our websites… I’m hosting my website through a friend’s server, so I had to go about setting my database a little differently than shown in class. I just had to separately download WordPress, and then use phpmyadmin to create a database/user with a […]

Hey guys. I decided to make a quick tutorial for redirecting your main domain to your blog. First go to your website (http://www.yourdomain.com/cpanel). Log in then scroll down and look for this: You should see a screen that looks something like this: Click on the dropdown box and select the main domain for your website. […]
